Privacy Policy

This policy explains how mailerapi collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or join our waitlist.

Last updated: September 23, 2026

mailerapi ("mailerapi," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to our website, waitlist, and related communications. It does not yet govern a generally available mailerapi email-delivery service; if that service launches, we may update this policy before processing customer data through it.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the date and version of the consent disclosure you accepted, and any later unsubscribe request. You may also provide your company name, expected monthly email volume, a description of what you are building, and other details you include in a message to us.
  • Attribution and referral information. We collect campaign parameters, the referring page, form location, and referral codes so we can understand which outreach works and credit waitlist referrals.
  • Usage and device information. Our hosting and analytics providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from your IP address. When configured, we store a salted hash of the IP address and a shortened user-agent string to review waitlist abuse; the raw address is not stored in our waitlist database.
  • Communications. If you contact us, we collect the contents of your message and the contact information you choose to provide.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • manage the waitlist and send product, beta-access, and launch updates;
  • understand demand, improve the website, and decide what to build;
  • respond to questions, support requests, and feedback;
  • maintain the security and reliability of our systems; and
  • comply with law and protect our rights, users, and the public.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving mailerapi, steps taken at your request, or compliance with legal obligations as our basis for processing.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

  • Service providers that support hosting, database storage, analytics, security, and communications, only as needed to provide those services to us;
  • Authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • A successor organization in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets; and
  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

4. Data retention

We keep waitlist information, attribution, referral data, and abuse-review records while reasonably needed to manage early access, communicate with you, measure interest, and prepare mailerapi for launch. We may retain limited records for longer when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

5. Your rights and choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing or launch emails by using the unsubscribe link in a message, using our public unsubscribe page, or contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may also have the right to appeal our decision or complain to your local data-protection authority.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.

8. Children

The website and waitlist are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as mailerapi evolves. We will post the revised version here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
