Email practices

A plain-language record of how mailerapi protects recipients and sender reputation.

Last updated: September 23, 2026

1. Our current email program

mailerapi is in private beta. Our current first-party email program is limited to beta invitations, waitlist updates, requested support replies, and essential account or service notices. We do not run cold email campaigns.

2. Permission and list acquisition

We email waitlist members only after they submit their own address and affirmatively select the consent checkbox on our website. We record the consent time and the version of the disclosure shown at signup.

  • We do not buy, rent, scrape, or trade email-address lists.
  • We do not accept lists from affiliates, data brokers, or lead vendors.
  • We do not use guessed addresses or send to people solely because their address is public.
  • A referral link never enrolls the referred person; they must submit the form themselves.

3. Message identity and content

Messages identify mailerapi as the sender, use an authenticated mailerapi domain, and describe the reason the recipient is receiving the message. We send only the categories described at signup and do not disguise promotional mail as transactional mail.

4. Unsubscribe and preference handling

Every non-transactional message includes a clear unsubscribe link. Recipients can also use our public unsubscribe page or contact privacy@mailerapi.lat. Requests are recorded immediately and the address is excluded from later beta and launch campaigns. A person may opt in again only by returning to the website and giving fresh consent.

5. Bounces, complaints, and sending reputation

Production sending is gated on verified sending identities, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Amazon SES event publishing, and account-level suppression for hard bounces and complaints. Hard-bounced and complaining recipients must be suppressed before another message is attempted. We monitor SES reputation metrics and pause sending to investigate an abnormal increase rather than continuing a damaged campaign.

These controls are launch requirements, not claims about a generally available service. mailerapi does not currently offer public production sending.

6. Controls for future mailerapi customers

Customers will be required to follow our Acceptable Use Policy, authenticate their sending domains, explain how recipients opted in, include required unsubscribe mechanisms, and act on delivery events. We may review, throttle, suspend, or terminate sending that creates an unacceptable bounce or complaint risk.

7. Report unwanted email

Report suspected abuse or an unwanted mailerapi message to abuse@mailerapi.lat. Include the message headers when possible so we can trace the sender and act quickly.
